BC016_English: Preparing for a BCMS (ISO 22301) 1st, 2nd or 3rd Party Audit
Conducting an organizational review of risks and vulnerabilities can be a complicated, time consuming, expensive and costly exercise, especially if the individuals and organizations involved lack the experience, qualifications and time necessary to plan and conduct the audit effectively. An effective audit should be well planned and directly aligned to ISO 22301 standards. It should be detailed, encompassing all defined criteria and vulnerabilities, and reflect both internal and external stakeholder observations, concerns and recommendations. It should not only map out and score areas of conformity and non-conformity, but it should also define how shortfalls, gaps and risks might be addressed. The audit report must be clear and intuitive to readers who may, or may not have been involved in the process; defining risks, needs and solutions.
