BC044_English: A Detailed Introduction to the ISO 22301 BCMS

The implementation and management of a ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) to protect organizational interests requires an understanding of how management structures at the headquarters and localized levels, key positions and champions, planning and operations, understanding and articulating risk, leveraging supportive policies, plans and protocols, using support and resourcing, and the operationalization of knowledge through training and exercising. This deep dive module helps explain the system to managers and staff from all departments, creating the knowledge by which all internal stakeholders can play an active and positive part within the BCMS. The program includes example scenarios which takes participants through the prepare and prevent, respond and manage, and then transition and recover stages; discussing the importance of communications (both verbal and written), activation protocols, stakeholder engagement, the use of different policies, plans and protocols, sharing and saving event specific data, defining the end point and transition strategy, and the use of support, resources and just-in-time training. This module helps bring together cross cutting organizational resiliency and continuity measures to protect people, activities, assets, business and reputation.
