BC052_English: Activating, Launching and Implementing an ISO 22301 BCMS

Once a Business Continuity Management System is designed and tested, the next step is activating, launching and implementing the ISO 22301 compliant system. This leadership training supports organizations who have designed and developed a BCMS to take the next critical step is activating the system (either in part or in whole), and lunching it into the user population. This step, if flawed, can undermine the significant investment of time, effort and money placed into development, quickly damage the credibility of the design team, while concurrently undermining overall confidence in the system created. Establishing a clear process for activation and launch, appointing clearly defined champions and supporters, and developing an awareness program to define the value and application of the system - and then allowing the system to ‘bed in’, will ensure that integration and operationalization is effective. A strong messaging campaign will also ensure that those owning, implementing and using the system will have the confidence and ability to make the BCMS work.
