Being able to treat and stabilize serious burn injuries can reduce the chances of further harm and infection from those suffering with varying degrees of burn injuries, as well as provide comfort to those causalities in serious pain. Burn treatment is especially important when remote from medical support, or where further injuries will result if the situation is mishandled and a life threatening infection is not prevented.
