There are different types of kidnaping risks which influence both how kidnappings are conducted, and to an extent, how victims should react to a kidnapping. Understanding how kidnappers plan, take and hold hostages is important to enable risks to be reduced, perpetrators to be identified during the targeting phase, how victims react to an attempt being made to take them, and how hostages conduct themselves during the captivity and rescue phases.   This course provides the knowledge on how to understand, identify, avoid, mitigate or live through kidnap and ransom and hostage situations.
