Storms, floods and tsunamis are occurring at an increasing frequency and have dramatic risk implications for people and businesses. There may be warning indicators which provide a period of preparation, or they may occur with little to no warning. They present a very real risk to personal security as well as health and safety, both during the initial occurrence, as well as within the aftermath. By understanding the risks associated with storms, floods and tsunamis then individuals, groups and managers can better plan for, and respond to, a natural disaster threat.
