SM021_English: Managing Active Shooter and Armed Aggressor Threats

Facility management teams are responsible for understanding the potential threats from active shooter and armed aggressors. While a remote risk, concentrations of staff in office and work areas presents a risk to both people, and the wider organization as a whole from direct or indirect threats from lone shooters, gangs and criminals, and in rare instances from terrorist groups. By having the knowledge and skills by which to prepare for and prevent, respond to and manage, and then support the Crisis Management Leadership Team in transitioning and recovering from such crisis events people, assets, business, operations, facilities and the reputation of the organization will be best protected.
