YRM006_English: Youth Risk Management Codes of Conduct for Adults

This Code of Conduct training for adults supporting youth activities sets out our standards by which to ensure that all adults act in a safe and responsible manner toward minors and young adults. Adults have an important role in protecting young people; as such how you act ensures the safety of young people, and reflects upon both your and our organizational reputation. A failure to behave in an appropriate manner can result in disciplinary or legal action against you, and our team. The training objectives for this course includes setting out clearly what is considered appropriate behavior for adults when interacting with minors and youths; and articulating specifically what is considered inappropriate behavior by adults working with young people. It is important for adults to have a clear understanding of how to positively interact with young people in order to create a positive, safe and appropriate environment. By understanding and complying with the code of conduct then the potential for an adult to knowingly, or inadvertently, making a mistake can be greatly reduced.
