BC005_English: Critical Incident Management (Pre-Planned Responses)
The ability to quickly and effectively establish control over a crisis event during the initial ‘Golden Hour’ of a response can make a significant difference in reducing the risks and confusion which could result. Leadership teams, whether at the point of the crisis, or in support of the higher level and more strategic responses, should have clear protocols to deal with the varied human-made threats and natural disaster events they may face. While no specific to incident response protocol should be prescriptive, having mature and considered pre-identified response considerations enables management teams to focus on their most critical priorities first, building upon these responses to meet the unique needs of each event. This course helps leaders at all levels to move through pre-defined response needs in a timely, confident and effective manner, ensuring that business resiliency and continuity management needs are met at all levels. HR PHR Credits (Functional Area 6): This course supports Human Resource professionals in developing effective business continuity policies, plans and protocols, communicating and training the workforce on security plans and policies, as well as business continuity and disaster recovery plans, manage workplace safety and security risks, and empower organizational incident and emergency response measures and associated plans.
