BC014_English: Pandemic and Serious Infectious Disease Business Continuity Management
Organizations may face the impacts resulting from a serious disease outbreak (pandemic) which can have far reaching business and operational consequences, or if mishandled, may impact the reputation of the team. As such, it is critical that leaders understand the complexities of managing a pandemic event, including the typical modes of disease transmission and, so, infection mitigation measures, and how a disease outbreak can then affect business and operations, as well as generate secondary risks through its destabilizing effect on the local population and public health infrastructure. This leadership course looks at management planning and response protocols, and how to mitigate not only the effects of the disease, but also the fear serious infectious disease outbreaks understandably create in a workforce. This training brings together management teams into a unified and mutually support approach to business continuity management. HR PHR Credits (Functional Area 6): This course supports Human Resource professionals in developing and then testing effective business continuity policies, plans and protocols, and communicating and training the workforce on safety, security and crisis management standards.
