BC021_English: Intellectual Property and Sensitive Information Business Continuity

The protection of intellectual and sensitive information is increasingly important as criminals, competitors, hostile governments, hackers, activist groups, disgruntled employees, and terrorists seek to gather information in order to disrupt, embarrass or harm people, activities, business interests and reputations. The purpose of this leadership training is designed to raise awareness of the risks associated with both intellectual and sensitive information, and how management teams can build sensible and appropriate protective measures. The course ensures management teams understand their responsibilities and how processes work, and to then codify these best practices in policies, plans and protocols. The operationalization of effective risk management is implemented through training, resources and processes, whether during the prepare and prevent phase, or during the immediate response, longer term management, and subsequent transition and recovery from a breach or loss. Protecting the organizations’ as well as other stakeholders information is both good business, as well as legally appropriate. HR PHR Credits (Functional Area 1): This course supports Human Resource professionals in developing and then testing effective business continuity policies, plans and protocols (as well as disaster and recovery plans and organizational incident and emergency response plans), and communicating and training the workforce security and crisis management standards. It demonstrates sound resiliency, empowering organizational incident and emergency response measures and associated plans.
