CMLT-10_English: Sexual Assault
Sexual assaults not only result in physical harm, they can also cause long-term psychological harm to the victim and their family. The support offered to the victim must be appropriate, sensitive and timely, and must consider the complexities of the victim’s culture, as well as any social or legal risks which they may subsequently face. The ability to manage the victim’s needs, liaise with the family, investigate potential internal perpetrators, and protect the organization’s interests can be a complex and emotive challenge.
