Political instability presents a range of risks with a rapid change in political and power actors resulting in new, dynamic, and uncertain perceptions and requirements. Suspicion and hostile attention can often result as a new, inexperienced, and unstable government seeks to identify and address perceived or actual threats to power. The ability to identify and address potential or occurring risks to the organization, or to external organizations and individuals with relationships or influence to the organization and who may be subject to government scrutiny, enhances organizational resilience.
