GFiN010_English: Medical Response and Reporting Protocols

It is essential that full, timely and accurate information is gathered during or following a medical incident in order to effectively deal with a medical emergency. Inaccurate reporting can undermine the level of support a casualty may receive, and may result in an injury becoming more serious, and perhaps even life threatening. By rushing in responders may also place themselves, and others, at risk. This lesson will provide personnel with an understanding of the nature of casualty management and first response, TRIAGE guidelines, and it will also provide guidelines for the wider management of a casualty situation, and what information must be reported to first responders and other appropriate stakeholders.
