In addition to having a duty of care for their own staff, organizations can assume a vicarious liability for people and communities affected by what they do. As such, it is the Security Management Team’s moral and legal responsibility to ensure the protection of human rights in relation to security at the facility, both for the organization’s own staff, as well as for others visiting the location, or contracted to perform services on site. This includes sexual harassment and the protection of gender rights.
