Women face unique and specific risks when traveling abroad which can lead to imprisonment up to serious physical harm or death. These may include business, social, political, religious, and legal risks that arise when working and living in an environment that may be vastly different from your home country. By gaining a base level understanding of the cultural and political climate of the host nation, many of these risks can be avoided. This mini-brief is designed to develop knowledge and skills while operating in foreign environments by providing considerations for traveling female staff.
