S020_English: Acceptable Use Policy

Often information security breaches occur where individuals fail to protect access into a system through a lack of awareness or diligence, causing significant security and business risks. The Acceptable Use Policy (AuP) course focuses on staff and management teams at all levels within an organization so as to establish and expand awareness and competency on the acceptable use and management of electronic and hard copy information, ensuring the integrity of organizational data. The guidance is detailed and draws upon sound best industry practices (aligned to ISO 27001) employed in leading global businesses and government agencies. The AuP explores common instances of unintentional and deliberate misuse of IT, and sets out the consequences of such actions, including the damaging effects on reputation and liability associated with the loss of sensitive or personally identifiable information. HR PHR Credits (Functional Area 6): This course supports Human Resource professionals in ensuring effective risk management controls are in place for the integrity of data, such as data sharing, password usage and social engineering. The training supports managers with employee records management, and ethical and professional standards; protecting the organization from damages and loss.
