Threatening phone calls may be hoax calls seeking to intimidate people and organizations, or they may indicate a real risk from criminals, mentally unstable individuals, activist organizations or terrorists. It is critical for those taking a threatening call to remain calm and gather as much information as possible, in a systematic manner, so as to enable knowledge led responses to be activated, and to ensure that the appropriate authorities have good information to work from.
