S028_English: Sexual Assault and Inappropriate Behavior Awareness and Response
Sexual harassment and associated inappropriate behavior cannot be tolerated – whether it occurs in the workplace or elsewhere. However, preventing or responding to sexual harassment or other inappropriate behavior can be very challenging. Sexual harassment covers a range of actions, and all instances are equally capable of causing emotional harm, creating a toxic work or social environment and escalating to acts of physical assault in some instances. This training is important for all staff as, while they may not be – or perceive themselves to be – the target of harassing or inappropriate behavior – they may be working or traveling alongside colleagues who are, and this training serves to orientate them to risks and potentially threatening situations that they may have been unaware of. Not only does this help in identifying threatening or distressing situations, but it will ensure they do not inadvertently put colleagues in situations where risk may be present.
