Events present high profile and concentrated risks from criminal, natural disaster or lone shooter and terrorist threats. As such, event risk management is an organizational responsibility and leadership teams need to have a formulaic and effective method by which to identify, map, assess and manage risks. This leadership training course helps organizations plan for major events, such as conferences, trade shows, large training sessions and site visits. These methodologies protect people from a wide range of threats, including criminals, terrorists and activists, or natural disasters, by creating a measured and staged approach to understanding and planning against likely threats, evaluating the event location and supporting resources, creating leadership structures and supporting response mechanisms… and then managing a crisis if an threat were to occur. The training also looks at guard force and searching requirements and working with event or subcontracted security providers.
