Being the target of threatening phone calls can be highly distressing, causing fear and apprehension for those taking the call, as well as for the wider team who may be aware that such calls have been made. This can result in significant impacts upon the morale and effectiveness of a group, as well as the organization as a whole, regardless as to whether the threat is real, or as for the majority of cases, it is an empty hoax. The Security and Guard Force management team is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all staff, property, assets and activities on-site, and as such will play a key role in responding to threatening phone calls.
