Pandemics can have devastating impacts upon people, businesses and communities. Pandemics can have high contagion and mortality rates, and can affect communities, to entire countries and regions. Pandemics can overwhelm medical infrastructures, and result in secondary risks such as fear, critical services and utility disruption, the lack of critical commodities, transport route and border closures and elevated crime rates and civil disorder.
