CBRN threats may result from an industrial accident to a chemical plant, or a rail or road container accident with toxic materials. Terrorist groups may also weaponized a commercial site or materials to make improvised chemical weapons, or they may use hospital or industry radioactive materials to make dirty bombs. Biological agents, such as anthrax, may also be used, or military grade weapons may be bought, or stolen, by terrorist groups and hostile governments. This mini brief is designed to quickly elevate the levels of staff knowledge and awareness on this threat area, and to provide simple and easy methods to confidentially prepare for, and effectively [self-help] respond to any emergency situation which may occur.
