The LGBTQIA community faces some unique risks both domestically and abroad. In some countries being a member of the LGBTQIA community can result in harassment, abuse, arrest, violence and even the death penalty. By understanding the risks, and by taking simple precautionary measures. then risks can be avoided or reduced, and the reaction to an incident can be more effective and result in a more positive outcome.
